Principle: No Cookies, No Tracking, No Advertising

WordGuesser does not use cookies, does not use any analytics or tracking services (e.g. Google Analytics or similar), and does not show advertising. No user profiles are created and no data is passed to third parties for advertising or analytics purposes. This section describes the current state (as of 2026-07-10); should this change — in particular if advertising is introduced in the future (Google AdSense) — this privacy policy will be revised beforehand and this statement updated accordingly.

Game Progress and Statistics: Browser-Only (localStorage)

WordGuesser does not require a user account. Your current game progress (e.g. an in-progress puzzle, your daily streak, statistics on rounds played/won) is stored exclusively locally in your browser (so-called localStorage). This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to a WordGuesser server, and is not accessible to us. You can delete this data at any time via your browser's settings (e.g. "Clear browsing data" or "Clear site data" for wordguesser.app); doing so will delete any in-progress game state and statistics.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

This website is hosted via Cloudflare Pages (provider: Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary server log data, including IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, and the browser used. This data is used for the technical delivery of the site, for detecting attacks (e.g. DDoS), and for ensuring system security; it is not combined with other data sources and is not evaluated for analytics or advertising purposes. The contact email address given in the imprint or on this page (contact@wordguesser.app) is forwarded via Cloudflare Email Routing. The content and metadata (including sender address, subject line) of emails sent to this address are routed through Cloudflare's infrastructure before arriving at the actual mailbox. Cloudflare does not evaluate the content for its own purposes; the Cloudflare privacy policy linked above applies here as well.

Daily Puzzle (Supabase)

In Daily mode, your browser fetches the word of the day from Supabase, a backend service we use to store and serve the daily puzzles (provider: Supabase, Inc.). This request is read-only: no personal data is transmitted from you to Supabase, other than the connection data unavoidable for any network request (including IP address, time of the request), which Supabase may log as part of normal server operation. No accounts are created and no user identifiers are transmitted to Supabase. Details: supabase.com/privacy.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have in particular the following rights:

• Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR),

• Lodging a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).

Since WordGuesser does not maintain user accounts and game progress is stored only locally in your browser, in practice most of these rights primarily concern the technical server log data at Cloudflare and Supabase described above. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy will be updated whenever the data processing described here changes — for example, if advertising, analytics services, or user accounts are introduced. The current version is always available at this address.
